Smart Control Made Simple – XBB PowerUnit 6® for Vehicle Builders and Electrical Enthusiasts
For anyone working with vehicle conversions or aftermarket installations, the XBB PowerUnit 6® is a true game changer. Instead of tearing apart interior panels to hunt for signal wires, this solution offers an elegant, wireless setup – perfect for modern vehicles where simplicity, flexibility, and future-proofing are key.
What makes the PowerUnit 6® especially appealing is the ability to control multiple lights or LED bars individually – such as auxiliary driving lights, work lights, or position lights. The system is fully scalable: up to four units can be connected to a single XBB Dongle®, giving you a total of 24 configurable outputs ready to match your exact needs.
To function, the PowerUnit 6® must be paired with either an XBB Dongle® or the CAN-compatible PP-CAN-FD® device. These devices “listen” to the vehicle’s CAN bus and detect signals like high beam, reverse gear, ignition, and more – all without tapping or cutting into the vehicle’s original wiring.
Signals are then wirelessly transmitted via Bluetooth (BLE 5) directly to the PowerUnit®, which activates the configured outputs based on the setup in the XBB Configurator® app. The app includes a wide range of pre-built vehicle profiles, so you can get started quickly with the right signals for your specific make and model.
Virtual Button Panel on Your Phone – Control Everything from the App
For even greater control, the XBB Dashboard feature in the XBB Configurator® app allows users to create a virtual button panel right on their phone. From here, you can manually switch outputs on or off, monitor real-time data like battery voltage, and even add advanced functions like strobe light modes or PWM output control.
Each button is fully customizable – from icons and colors to individual functions – so you can tailor the interface exactly how you like it. While the Dashboard is still under active development, it already offers impressive ways to take full control of your vehicle’s electrical system with just a tap.
