Car lights must both be legal and work properly, but you may also want a low beam or high beam that you think looks good and gives off a nice glow. What rules apply to bulbs in high and low beam?
Is it okay to combine high and low beam with the same light bulb? Can you supplement car high beams with auxiliary lights? What type of bulb is used for low beam? You will learn the questions regarding lights when you get your driver's license, but it might be worth giving a little update anyway. You can combine low beam with high beam because you switch off the high beam and only use the low beam when meeting other cars.. You may use high beam and auxiliary light at the same time, but the auxiliary beam may not be combined with any other light. In low beam, a halogen- xenon- or LED-bulb with white light is often used. Consider using LED bulbs inside the car that are the same color as the original light. The wrong color and a different brightness can be illegal in some cases. LED bulbs are not made of glass and therefore they can withstand tougher environments than, for example, halogen bulbs. Today's LED bulbs are also incredibly developed for better light distribution and less glare for oncoming cars.
