With the release of Ford's next-gen lineup, most trim levels have included high beam pickup points either in the footwell or in the roof control panel. The below graphics explain the 3 levels of headlight available which will determine if you will be able to use the factory pickup or require an additional high beam adaptor.

In Ford's next generation Ranger, some trim levels have been fitted with high beam signal connection points either in the footwell or in the roof control panel.Other trim levels require a model-specific high beam adapter. The graphic below explains the 3 available headlight levels which determine whether you will be able to use the factory connection point or need a model-specific high beam adapter.

Ford Ranger 2023 Helljusadapter

Level 1: Are the base models (XL & XLT) with halogen headlights.

Level 2: Is equipped with LED reflector headlights (Limited & Wildtrak)

Level 3: Is equipped with LED Matrix projector headlights (Platinum & Raptor and if optional added)

Level 1 and 3 require a model-specific adapter to pick up the high beam signal to trigger your auxiliary lights.
Level 2 has connection points for high beam signal pick-up point either in the footwell or in the roof control panel.


NOTE: Differences in model name and equipment level may differ between different markets.


Installation

Levels 1 & 3
1. Locate the headlight harness at the driver-side (left) headlight unit.
2. Plug the STEDI piggyback harness into the headlight harness.
3. Run the earth cable on the piggyback to the vehicle chassis located adjacent to the vehicle battery via the provided M6 nut.
4. Plug in your STEDI smart harness into the piggyback T-Pin plug, paying attention to the labeled connectors.

Level 2
1. Run the exposed wire end of your piggyback through a suitable firewall grommet on the passenger side of your vehicle.
2. Remove the passenger footwell kick panel.
3. Locate the labeled high-beam signal wires.
4. Using provided crimp connectors, crimp the positive and negative wires to the corresponding connections.
5. Connect your STEDI Smart Harness to the piggy-back T-Connector.
