Pulse-Controlled Powerboost - Seamless Performance
Pollux9+ Gen3 comes equipped with Powerboost - an extra power mode for those moments when you need maximum illumination. You can conveniently switch between standard and powerboost mode from the driver's seat in your vehicle. With the new generation Powerboost from Ledson, switching modes is easy with the light switch through a few simple steps.
Switch Powerboost Mode with "10+10+5"
This is done most easily with the 'light switch' when the light switch is in off or parking light mode
Turn on the driving light for about 10 seconds (between 7-13 seconds)
Blink the driving light rapidly 10 times (within 10 seconds)
The eleventh time, the driving light should be on, and after about 5 seconds, the Powerboost function will automatically switch on or off
TIR Reflectors
TIR stands for Total Inner Reflection and means that all light is efficiently reflected and directed before being sent out from the reflector. Spill light (the light that is not directed but disappears "unfocused" from the lighting without doing any real work) is minimized. A traditional reflector directs and focuses most of the light but far from all. Pollux 9+ has these TIR reflectors for maximum light.
