O padrão horizontal de 30 graus maximiza a iluminação a média e longa distância, alcançando 1 lux a 586 m, com muito pouca luz nos primeiros 80 m. A dispersão vertical de 15 graus significa menos luz desperdiçada e reduz significativamente o encandeamento causado pelos sinais de trânsito.
